Dr. Cheryl Pohlman received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Windsor in 1986 and has been registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario since 1988. She brings over 20 years of experience providing direct treatment and consultative services in education, mental health and independent practice settings. Dr. Pohlman is well known in the field of education, having served as a psychologist and leader with Boards of Education in the Windsor, Ottawa, York and Durham regions. She previously held the position of Chief Psychologist for the York Catholic District School Board in Aurora, and continues to hold a Supervising Psychologist position with the Durham Board of Education. 

Dr. Pohlman is a strong believer in supporting the profession of psychology. She has served with the Ontario Psychological Association (OPA) as President-Elect (2000), President (2001) and Past President (2002), as a member and Chair of the Governance Committee and the Membership Task Force, as President of the Section on Psychology in Education, as a Regional Director (Toronto) and as Education Practice Area Director. She has also been an examiner of new psychological registrants for the College of Psychologist of Ontario. Dr. Pohlman was awarded the OPA's Award of Merit in 2004 for her outstanding contributions to the Association, and its Section on Psychology in Education Award of Merit in 1998 for outstanding contributions to psychology within the educational sector.
