Toronto (December 6, 2017) -  The Psychology Foundation of Canada Recognizes CIBC Children’s Foundation For Ongoing Support of Mental Health Education.  Decade-long commitment has supported national mental health promotion to improve the lives of almost 8 million children and families. 
 
The Psychology Foundation of Canada (PFC), with the support of corporate partners, has been helping Canadian children and their families optimize their mental health for more than 40 years. In recognition of CIBC Children’s Foundation’s decade-long commitment to improving the lives of children, Harriet Lewis, President, Board of Trustees at The Psychology Foundation of Canada, and students from St. Jude Elementary School are pleased to award CIBC with a plaque honouring their support of The Psychology Foundation of Canada. Toronto (November 29, 2017) – Work your body to optimize your mind. Bestselling author Dr. John Ratey speaks at 13th annual Breakfast for Champions raising funds for mental health promotion with children and youth.
Dr. John Ratey, Associate Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School and internationally recognized expert in Neuropsychiatry, addressed close to 450 leaders in business, psychology, public health, social services, educational and other child-serving organizations on the link between physical fitness and mental wellness.  Dr. Ratey was a guest speaker at the 13th Annual Breakfast for Champions which is The Psychology Foundation of Canada’s premiere fundraiser.  Click below for full press release.



Toronto (August 31, 2017) – 4 signs and symptoms a child is stressed out not acting out. Significant adults in a child’s life key to stress management.
Helping  children recognize four signs and symptoms of their own stress is key to helping them become confident and productive adults, according to experts at The Psychology Foundation of Canada.  Back-to-school is filled with increased excitement and challenges for children and with some kids jam-packed with uncharacteristic behaviours too.  Adults are pivotal in working with children to adopt strategies that enable them to manage the inevitable highs and lows of a new school year.
